There were some incredibly surprising licensed Micro Machines sets released over the years – with sets based on (sometimes very adult) franchises such as Indiana Jones, James Bond, Star Trek, Aliens, Predator and Terminator 2. Maybe, but with Star Wars Micro Machines in general, we undoubtedly have one of the very best uses of the tiny vehicle and playset concept. Each box contains 8 different vehicles and a decoder as well as backgrounds typically found sealed in the world packs. These shown are the only sets known with this variation as production was presumably scrapped by Jazwares.Īmazon Exclusive: Two different Amazon exclusives are available for the transformers line. These foreign language dual text sets have never been found in retail shops. Pre-productions sets of all 4 and the chase set surfaced on eBay from China and are shown below. Interestingly, a foreign release was planned with the play background dropped from the sets. The "white blob" Sideswipe is highly desireable to collectors since far lower production. No chase sets are known with the incorrect play background for collection #2 on the cardback. Additionally, the Sideswipe vehicle from Collection #3 has an error (white blob) on the hood for the early release errors with incorrect play background that was fixed for the later shipments.

This was remedied quickly though with the correct image depicted for the subsequent shipments.

All 4 non-chase sets are known to have the error. The early release included an error on the card-back depicting the unique play background actually found in the chase collection for set #2. (Two chase X-Ray light color variations have surfaced and are shown below along with the related test shots.) Note : There are 2 different card-backs to collect for the 4-vehicle pack series.
